Engagement Session in a Field of Greens and Tall Grasses

Engagement sessions are always magical. Not only is it often the first time the engaged pair is getting good photos of them as a couple, but it’s also a time for the pair to dissociate from all the wedding stress and instead focus on the joys of being engaged and close to their wedding day.

This fun session took place in Mississauga, Ontario in a secluded spot I love to shoot at. It’s filled with various leafy trees, walking paths, and areas of tall grasses, making it the perfect spot for engagement shoots. Deer often make appearances here too, but we didn’t get that lucky this time.

Scroll through this session with me to see how I made use of the space for our outdoor, nature-focused engagement shoot with this soon-to-be-married coupled. You’ll see lots of my favourite poses, some moody black-and-white shots, some fun and purposeful motion blur, and some secret camera effects creating cool reflections and vintage vibes.

Ok but wait… where’s the ring?!

Now for some motion blur and running in tall grasses.

I love the vintage vibe I get from doing this camera trick during sessions. Scroll to see more in the next gallery.

This bright black and white photo makes me feel like I’m watching this couple in a movie.

Now for some more camera tricks. I love these fun creative effects making for more interesting images.

It wouldn’t be complete without a wide shot of the whole scene! Now scroll past this one to the last gallery to see a final array of images from this session.
