Bathtime Film Photography Family Session inspired by Anni Graham
Bathtime Film Photography Family Session inspired by Anni Graham
You know how Instagram now does that Facebook thing where it shows you your memories? Well a memory popped up on mine the other day of a time I shared @annigraham's post to my story of a family session she did for @dawn.charles, part of which included photos of her kids playing in the tub. I don't know if it was on film, but it sure looked like it. And as Anni does, her storytelling in this session was incredible. I instantly shared one of the photos and said "Someone let me capture documentary-style moments at home with the kids like this!!". My cousin responded to my story saying "I will!". Well it took a year and finally living in the same city (ish - Dartmouth and Halifax) for these photos to happen, but we did it! And rather accidentally, I might add.
My fiancé and I were headed over to their house and I thought I'd bring my film camera, and it worked out perfectly to capture some of their bath time. Mind you, this was my first roll of film shot since being a kid, so I didn't know if these would come out at all, but here we are! For a completely impromptu mini session while testing out my new film camera, I'm pretty darn happy with how these turned out! Here's to film, bath time fun for the kiddos, and documentary-style family sessions.
